We believe that recruitment is a two-way
process. We want you to learn about us while we get to know you.
That way, we can both be confident that you will have a successful
and rewarding future career with Grant Thornton.
Our selection process
The process we use is adapted to the nature of the role you
apply for. But as a general rule, most people will go through the
following stages as a minimum:
1
Applying
The easiest way to get your CV in front of the
right person is to search our current
vacancies and apply online. Each vacancy includes a job
description and further details of the role. Applying is
straightforward as we only require answers to a couple of multiple
choice questions, plus your CV. If we do not have any vacancies
that match your requirements, you can set up a
Job Alert to be informed when relevant jobs become
available.
Do spend time tailoring your CV to the role
you’re applying for, because our recruiters will assess how well
your skills and experience match the relevant job description.
2 Competency
interview
In these interviews we’ll want to find out
about you and your previous work experience. We’ll aim to get to
know you as an individual and, typically, understand your specific
experience of areas such as taking initiative, applying business
insight, being adaptable and able to critically analyse, leading,
collaborating and developing colleagues, building business
relationships, taking ownership and delivering results and growing
our firm and clients.
This interview is also a real opportunity
to for you to find answers to any questions you might have. So come
prepared with things to ask – perhaps about the role itself, or
about our ambition as a business.
3 Final
interview
The final stage of our selection process will
involve a more in-depth interview around your technical skills and
experience. You’ll meet the people you’re likely to be working
with. Hopefully by this stage you’ll have a good feel for who we
are and the role you are applying for.
