Experience
Gerry qualified as a Scottish Chartered Accountant and spent 5 years in New York City during which time he qualified as a US Certified Public Accountant. In 1997 Gerry became a partner in Grant Thornton UK LLP and shortly afterwards joined the firm's Capital Markets team, assisting clients achieve flotation on the AIM Market or Official List of the London Stock Exchange. He also advises on transactions covered by the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers. Gerry is an authorized Nominated Adviser for AIM and Sponsor for the Official List. The Capital Markets team has carried out more than 250 nominated adviser mandates since 1997, making it the most active independent Nomad on a world-wide basis.
