Kyla is an Assurance Director in our Government Audit practice in the Midlands. She joined Grant Thornton in 2007, following the merger with RSM Robson Rhodes.
Kyla specialises in providing external audit services to the public and not-for-profit sectors. She currently leads the external audit of a range of local government, health, housing and education clients. Her clients include NHS Walsall, South Derbyshire District Council, Worcester City Council, Worcester College of Technology, North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, Midland Academies Trust, Haberdashers' Adams' Federation Trust, Nottingham City Homes and Harper Adams University College. In the past she has also provided audit and assurance services to unitary and metropolitan councils and has worked with a wide range of charities including Liverpool Archdiocese Trust, The Sisters of Notre Dame and Leeds Diocese.
Kyla has undertaken an extensive amount of internal audit work and, as a qualified internal auditor, uses her governance, risk management and internal controls experience as part of her wider business advisory role. Her experience includes grant certification work, undertaken grant investigations on behalf of Government Office and assisting clients to meet EU claim requirements.
Kyla is Head of Not for Profit for Grant Thornton's Central West region, leading NfP activity across Birmingham, Oxford and Reading. She is a contributor to the firm's sector newsletters and regularly presents at external training events.
