Richard is a director in our Healthcare Advisory team, which specialises in providing advice to the NHS and NHS-related organisations in areas such as transactions, NHS foundation trust development, governance and turnaround.
Richard qualified as a chartered accountant in 1996 and has gained significant experience across a range of professional services (principally audit, business recovery and transaction services). He worked for a Big Four firm in the UK and South Africa before joining Grant Thornton in 2006.
With well over over ten years of experience in transaction services and business recovery, Richard has been involved in numerous transactions across a wide range of sectors. He is now involved full time in advising NHS and NHS-related clients which are going through significant change driven by, for example, a transaction, turnaround or the FT assessment process. He leads our NHS foundation trust assessment teams and is a key senior contact point for each trust's board of directors, Monitor, the Department of Health and the NHS Trust Development Authority.
