Audit / Large Corporate
Simon is the firms Large Corporate practice Leader and Chairman of The Grant Thornton Governance Institute. He is the instigator and author of the FTSE 350 Corporate Governance Review, the UK's leading research document into the UK's Code of Corporate Governance and referred to by the FRC in all of its recent reviews of the Code and also by the Walker review.
Simon is lead partner for a number of the firm's large internal and external audit clients. He was the founder of the Business Risk Service practice specialising in the provision of services focused on improving and strengthening large organisations' governance. He was a member of the FRC's steering panel responsible for the Board Effectiveness released in March 2011 to replace the Higgs guidance.
