I joined Grant Thornton in 2007 and have over 15 years of experience of leading Transactions Services with my clients. I have spent the majority of my career in the North of England working with large corporate, mid-market private equity and fast growing dynamic private businesses. I also enjoyed secondments to London and Melbourne earlier in my career, which gave me very different and valuable experience.
My focus is on leading relationships with my clients, spending time with them to understand their objectives and motivations then supporting them through the deal cycle with pragmatic and commercial advice. My experience covers buy and sell side due diligence, IPO and reporting accountants work as well as refinancing and strategic options advice. I have previously been office managing partner for our Leeds and Newcastle offices.
I live in York and after a promising start as a rugby player (having a successful career in under 14s mini rugby during the 80s with Gosforth) I prefer the more even pace of watching rather than playing ! Married with three young children, I don’t need to go to the gym to stay active, so I focus on spending my down time with my wife and friends enjoying an eclectic mix of food, wine and music.
