David Jewkes (Partner)
David is a Partner for Grant Thornton in
the West Midlands who has specialised in taxation for over 25
years. He is recognised as one of the regions leading experts
in advising entrepreneurs and their businesses in relation to all
aspects of their taxation affairs.
Experience
David joined Grant Thornton's Birmingham
office in 2007 as a tax partner with responsibility for the
corporate practice. After qualifying as a Chartered
Accountant at a local firm he specialised in corporate
taxation. During this time he worked on the UK and
international tax affairs of some of the UK's largest
corporations. In 1990 he became a corporate tax partner in a
mid tier firm where he continued to widen his breadth of
experience, and worked on a variety of clients varying from the
international affairs of FTSE 100 clients, VC backed technology
companies, and local entrepreneurial concerns. Following a
series of mergers, David became local Head of Tax for a top 10
firm, where he over saw significant growth in all aspects of the
tax practice in particular in tax planning and consultancy
work.
