John Whitfield (Partner)
John works in our Recovery & Reorganisation
Practice and has national responsibility for Grant Thornton's
offering to Asset Based Lenders. John joined Grant Thornton in June
2007.
Experience
John qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991and immediately
specialised in Recovery work, primarily advising Banks and other
lending institutions. In 1995 he completed a six month secondment
at NatWest Bank advising on both new funding propositions and
renewal of facilities to existing under-performing customers. John
has established strong links with the Asset Based Lending Sector
working with funders and stakeholders in both distressed situations
and new lending opportunities. His appointment to head up the ABL
team at Grant Thornton strengthens the firm's profile in the ABL
Sector and broadens the team's capabilities in what is a very fast
growing market
