William Davies (Partner)
Will leads our South West forensic and
investigation practice.
Experience
Will joined us at Grant Thornton in 2002. He qualified as a
Chartered Accountant in 1992 with a Big 4 accounting firm and has
spent a number of years in Cardiff and London specialising in
forensic accounting.
Will is a founder member of the ICAEW Forensic Services Group.
He is also an author and lecturer on forensic accounting issues and
has lectured to fellow accountants, barristers, solicitors and
insurance company executives. Will has given oral evidence on more
than 20 occasions, covering Crown Court, County Court, High Court
and at Arbitration Tribunals.
With 15 years' experience in fraud investigation and forensic
accountancy, Will has extensive experience covering the
following:
- quantifying loss of profits for organisations suffering losses
due to a variety incidents
- warranty claims and other post completion disputes on the sale
of businesses
- valuations of unquoted shares and businesses
- liability and quantum assessment in the context of professional
negligence of accountants, auditors, reporting accountants and
other professional advisors
- quantification of loss of earnings and pension due to personal
injury and fatal accidents
- intellectual property disputes
- fraud investigations (civil and criminal).
