Andy Wood (Partner)
Andy works in our Audit and Business Advisory
group, specialising in listed and private company audit work,
across a variety of sectors but notably in manufacturing and
engineering and support services businesses.
Experience
Andy joined us at Grant Thornton following the merger with RSM
Robson Rhodes in July 2007, where he trained and qualified,
becoming a partner in 2003.
During his time with RSM Robson Rhodes, Andy worked in the Leeds
and London offices as well as performing a two-year secondment to
the RSM member firm in France in the late 1990s. Based in Paris,
Andy - a fluent French speaker - worked as the professional
assistant to the chairman of an international audit-based
committee. His role included the harmonisation of quality assurance
procedures across the RSM network and the preparation of guidance
material for, and delivery of training to, member firms on a
variety of topics.
Andy's expertise covers:
- Providing a full range of audit and assurance services to both
listed and private clients, many with overseas operations
- Knowledge of a variety of sectors but with a particular focus
on engineering and manufacturing businesses and support
services
- Investigations and other non-audit assignments including
financial due diligence, listed company reporting accountant
assignments and pre-lend reviews on behalf of major banks
