Ian Johnson (Partner)
Introduction
Ian works in our Entrepreneur and Private Client department,
specialising in high net worth Individuals, trusts and professional
practices.
Experience
John joined Grant Thornton in 1988. Previously he has worked with
Price Waterhouse and in January 2002 was appointed head of Private
Client Services, stepping down in January 2006 to concentrate on
client matters within the region.
With 27 years experience in taxation, Ian has a broad knowledge of
most taxes but particular expertise in the field of capital taxes.
Ian was the driving force behind the creation of the Grant Thornton
Trust Company and has responsibility for the tax affairs of the
Grant Thornton UK LLP group and the provision of financial planning
advisory services to its partners.
Ian is also a member of University of Leicester's Audit
Committee.
