The Financial Times Non-Executive Directors Club is holding a twilight event on 11 March to discuss the implications to the non-executive directors’ role in light of recent governance releases.

Facilitated by Simon Lowe, author of the Grant Thornton FTSE 350 Corporate Governance Review, the panel session will debate what the implications are of good governance on NEDs, particularly in light of the imminent release of the revised UK Corporate Governance Code, effective from end June 2010.

Panellists for the event are:

- Sir Christopher Hogg - Chairman, Financial Reporting Council
- Luke Johnson - FT Columnist, Risk Capital Partners
- Peter Butler - Governance for Owners
- Seamus Gillen - Director of Policy, ICSA

With key representatives from the FRC and the ICSA Higgs review steering group on the panel, this will be an excellent opportunity for NEDs to put forward their opinions.
