Comment on Latest Nationwide House Price Figures
Following the latest Nationwide House Price figures,

"It is encouraging to see house prices are
showing signs of growth and although a 0.7% month-on-month increase
compared to February is modest, we are headed in the right
direction.
"The initiativ announced at last week's
Budget to increase the SDLT threshold to £250,000 is a positive
step by the Government to help boost the residential market and it
is hoped that it will help maintain steady growth in house prices
over the coming months.
"More needs to be done to help set the
property sector back on its feet so all eyes will be on the
post-election Government for additional initiatives to aid the
property sector."
